Description

The Finke Primary School officially opened on 22/09/1958 with 7 pupils in Grades 1 to 4.
It was accommodated in a tin shed which also doubled as the town's community hall. It moved into a purpose-built school which was officially opened in 1963.
The Finke Primary School is located in the remote Finke / Aputula community 317 km south east of Alice Springs near the South Australian border and continues to be operated by the Department of Education.
